Protect the plan and your belongings
Walk through closets, garages, patios, and any off-site units before requesting the quote. Flag oversized furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, safes, and fragile items.
Discuss packing help and specialty protection in advance. If you may need access to a stored item, confirm the arrangements before loading.
Before pickup
Estimate the likely storage period and explain whether everything or only selected rooms will be stored. Confirm timing changes and the scope of moving and storage before booking.
Include belongings in closets, garages, patios, and off-site units. Share dimensions and photographs of oversized, fragile, or heavy items so crew size, equipment, and protection can be reviewed.
Set aside medications, identification, financial records, keys, chargers, work equipment, and first-week essentials. Discuss retrieval expectations for any stored items you may need.
Use sturdy, securely closed cartons labeled by room and contents. Remove perishable food and prohibited materials. Clean and dry appliances, photograph valuable pieces, and point out existing damage.
Share parking, gates, elevators, stairs, loading hours, and truck-access restrictions at both addresses. Update the destination and access information as soon as it is available.
Ask what storage, handling, pickup, and delivery charges apply to your plan. Confirm any minimum periods, access arrangements, protection options, and how changes to the timeline are handled in your written scope.
