Is First Class Relocation properly licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws. TXDMV 009845438C, USDOT 4121451, MC 1576369. You can verify our credentials on the FMCSA website. Mandatory coverages can be provided upon request.
Are you a broker or a direct carrier?
We are a direct carrier. We never broker or subcontract your move. Our trucks, our crew, your belongings handled by one company from pickup to final delivery. No middlemen involved at any point in the process.
How long has First Class Relocation been in business?
First Class Relocation and Storage was founded on August 22, 2023. We are a veteran owned, family operated moving company headquartered in Central Texas serving Austin and communities across the region.
What areas do you serve?
We serve 20 communities across Central Texas for local moves: Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Liberty Hill, Hutto, Taylor, Elgin, Bastrop, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, Spicewood, and Wimberley. For long distance and cross country moves, we serve all 50 states as a licensed interstate carrier.

Moving Costs and Payment Options
How much does it cost to hire movers in Austin, TX?
Local moves are charged hourly. Two bedroom homes: $165 per hour for 6 to 8 hours. Three bedroom homes: $185 per hour for 8 to 10 hours. Four bedroom homes and larger: $225 per hour for 10 to 14 hours. Long distance moves are priced based on weight and distance. Call us for a free detailed estimate.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, certified checks, and major credit cards. All credit card transactions are subject to a 3.75% transaction fee. EFT payments including ACH, eChecks, wire transfers, and electronic invoicing may be available on a case by case basis if requested before the move.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We provide a detailed estimate before your move that covers everything. Local moves are hourly with no surprise charges. Long distance moves are priced by weight and distance with all costs disclosed upfront. Stair charges, long carry fees, and any other potential costs are discussed during your estimate, not on moving day.
Do you require a deposit?
Deposit requirements vary by move type. Local moves typically do not require a deposit. Long distance and cross country moves may require a deposit to secure your date. Any deposit requirements are discussed during your estimate and clearly documented.
Services and Logistics
Moving Day Details
How far in advance should I book my move?
Two to three weeks for local moves, four to six weeks for long distance. During peak season (May through September), booking even earlier is recommended. The sooner you book, the more flexibility you have with scheduling.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes. We offer full packing and unpacking services for any move. Our crew brings all materials including boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, and wardrobe boxes. You can add packing to any local or long distance move.
Do you move pianos and other specialty items?
Yes. We specialize in moving pianos (upright and grand), antique furniture, gun safes, pool tables, hot tubs, exercise equipment, and industrial machinery. We also build custom wood crates for fragile and oversized items.
Does First Class offer disconnect and reconnect services for appliances?
We provide appliance disconnect services as needed. Reconnect services may be available if the shipper releases liability after connections are tested. We reserve the right to decline reconnection if we identify faulty seals, gaskets, hoses, or other safety concerns.
What items are prohibited for transport?
We do not transport ammunition, firearms, combustibles, explosives, illegal substances, flammables, household or industrial chemicals, pets, or humans. Plants may be transported depending on condition, type, distance, and location. Check with your State Plant Regulatory Official for interstate plant shipments.
Do you offer storage services?
Yes. We offer secure short and long term storage for customers who need to bridge a gap between move out and move in dates. Your belongings are stored safely and delivered to your new home when you are ready.
